Performs a variety of accounting responsibilities including daily balancing of systems, account reconciliations, billing for Co-Op Advertising and retiree health plan. Provide financial data relative to the advertising transactions.

1. Responsible for administration of the Co-Op marketing accounts payable/receivable functions including verifying invoice amounts for agents, advertising ran as scheduled, and entering advertising data into Quickbooks for accounts receivable and accounts payable.

2. Completing billing for various Co-Op Advertising accounts and the retiree health billing based on the appropriate billing cycles.

3. Daily balancing of the billing system and the various payments received from various resources.

4. Produce monthly account reconciliations within the standard time frame established.

5. Produce month end reports to reconcile advertising budget; work with Quickbooks vendor to ensure accuracy.

6. Working with internal and external customers relative to inquires and problem resolution relative to Co-Op advertising, retiree health billing, and account reconciliations. Works directly with media contacts, agents, Co-op Staff and Marketing Manager to resolve Co-op and corporate account discrepancies.

7. Coordinating the set up of the Corporate Card accounts, resetting passwords, establishing higher credit limits.

8. Prepare monthly production statistics for the various operational functions.

9. Updates all documentation relative to procedures.

10. Cross training in other areas of the Billing & Accounting Department.

11. Others duties as assigned. There may be functions (essential or marginal) of this position not listed in this description.
Requires strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving ability. Self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision is important. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum two years of accounting experience required. Strong oral and written communications skills a must. Demonstrated proficiency in standard bookkeeping and accounting procedures. Advanced computer skills including use of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and accounting software programs. Exceptional multitasking skills including ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
